It's time to create a gun buyback program in El Paso County.

 

As your Sheriff, I will work on creating a buyback program for El Paso County, and committ to uniting with local leaders, businesses, and non-profit organizations to establish a dedicated fund for this crucial program. This initiative will allow individuals to voluntarily and safely surrender firearms no longer wanted or needed.  This effort reduces gun violence by limiting access to firearms that may be used in criminal activities or unintentional incidents.

Gun buy back programs have been tremendously successful in other communities

By fostering an understanding of responsible firearm ownership and usage, we can help prevent tragic incidents and promote a culture of safety.
